Mallory + Tyler’s Idaho Springs Wedding | Fall in the Mountains
We say it all the time, but we truly do love our job so so much. Not only do we get to travel and see some amazing venues, sites, and scenery, but we also get to meet the most incredible people. Last year when we met Tyler and Mallory for the first time, we knew instantly they were our kind of people. The two of them had been to see Nathaniel Rateliff the night before at Red Rocks and had slept in their Sprinter van, so they showed up sleepy and laid back to our coffee date. We were instantly smitten. :) M + T are avid rock climbers, and hearing the story of how they met while climbing and traveling in New Zealand eight years ago also captivated us. We were thrilled when they decided to hire us to capture photo and video of their wedding day.
Captivating Couple, Incredible Love Story
Tyler and Mallory’s wedding was in Idaho Springs, CO. I LOVED their boho, rustic-chic combo. The raw wooden accents, vibrant fall florals, ribbons, and Colorado décor added so much personality and richness to their details. This was our first time shooting at Blackstone Rivers Ranch - what a dream venue! I even asked Matt if he could make us our own little version of the swing somewhere in our yard.
They said their “I do’s” in front of a gorgeous, life-sized wreath made of rich-colored flowers and greenery by the always-amazing Yonder House. The bridesmaids’ burgundy dresses and bouquets coordinated perfectly with the autumn theme. The low, overhanging boughs of pines surrounding the ceremony site made the atmosphere even more romantic and dreamy.
Then came the party. These two literally thought of everything, even the comfort of their guests by offering comfy dancing shoes to the ladies in heels and blankets for the chilly evening. And let me tell you - their friends BROUGHT the party. You can see some of the epic dance moves in the video below. :)
